Orchard Road, the silks and saris of Little India, and hot curry puffs eaten from pandan leaves. Ancient maps, scrawling signatures of long-lost sailors, burnished wood planking on a white-sailed ship docking in the harbor.

I hand-turned this hook from dyed and laminated hardwood that's been impregnated with resin and densified, thus made extremely strong and durable, and also resistant to temperature variations and moisture. I combined deep orange "Pumpkin," with "Fiji Orange" and "Lemonwood" Dyed Hardwoods, and finished with Spalted Curly Cinnamon, which I imported straight from the Pacific herself -- Hawaii. Super smooth and wonderful presence! Size J (6 mm), eight inches long. Heirloom quality.
