From the mists of time, in some far flung place beyond the tallest mountains, the deepest oceans, over the widest rivers, a kingdom calls an enchanted land home. And like a Mediterranean princess, an Exotic Queen brings forth her proclamations to the populace. Dressed in silks of purple and orange, decorated with gemstones of Turquoise, proceeding with grace, she entrances the crowded marketplace...

I began this marvelous hook with "Aurora Aura" ** Dyed Hardwood, (which is one of my special custom colors), and couldn't resist adding two brilliant bands of "Aqua" Dyed Hardwood around a segment of black Ebony. As I was turning, to my great surprise found a tiny flaw within the wood -- well, what better to do than give this "Queen" a "pendant" of Turquoise Gemstones? I hand-inlaid a oval section with Kingman Turquoise, (as seen in the inset). Gorgeous! Smooth as glass! Size K (6.5 mm), eight inches long. Heirloom quality.
