"Arctic Light"** Dyed Hardwood is the blue sea, the purple sky, and snow all around -- a frosty wilderness of the soul, the frigid air through which moonbeams spread their silvery rays... Into this gorgeous barrette I inlaid three "moons" of crushed Kingman Turquoise, which seem to be rising over the horizon. This dyed and laminated hardwood has been impregnated with resin and densified, thus made extremely strong and durable, and also resistant to temperature variations and moisture. Smooth as glass! (The photo shows both sides of the barrette). The barrette is backed by the highest quality "Made in France" metal clip, which is approximately three and one-quarter inches long. Total length of the barrette is about three and one-half inches. Curved for comfort: heirloom quality. This barrette is engraved on the back with my signature/artist's mark.
