Are you ready for whimsical? I've got just the thing for you! I started with naturally purple Purpleheart, turned a pleasing shape, then "spinkled" tiny little dots on the middle bead! I then thought... mmmm... wouldn't they look good BIGGER too! I then hand-carved textured "polka dots" into the finial, and then painted them with metallic acrylics in glorious blues, adding hints of pink and gold to create a jeweled effect.

This ornamentation does have a little texture to it, so I made sure to put it far enough to the top of the hook that it won't rub your hand whether you use the "knife" or "pencil" hold. This piece is engraved with my signature/artist's mark. Size K (6.5 mm), just under eight inches long. Heirloom quality.
