Materials: "Agatewood" Dyed Hardwood
"Agatewood" Dyed Hardwood is the color of the mesas and plateaus, the sun setting in the desert, illuminating charred earth, white sands, and the tiny pools of brilliant turquoise oases. I hand-turned this laying tool from dyed and laminated hardwood that's been impregnated with resin and densified, thus made extremely strong and durable, and also resistant to temperature variations and moisture. Fiber artists, quilters, and other needleworkers use laying tools to control misbehaving threads, or for piercing fabric/felt with the sharp point. Beadwork artists also use these to pick up and poke their beads into place. Total length is approximately three and three-quarter inches. Smooth as glass! Heirloom quality.
