Elegance and grace yet surround her, and while edges appear broken and jagged, they are smoothed by the passage of time, polished by wisdom gained. Redwood burl is topographically beautiful, grain lines swirling; natural edges are gilded with 24k gold leaf. Her tutu undulates over the whole of the piece, and is crocheted on with silk ribbon, ends left to "play" freely.
