Handy for grabbing the yarn through the spinning wheel orifice, this hook provides an elegant way to do so. I make the handle from either colorful dyed hardwoods, or beautiful natural exotics.
I hand=turn them, and add a deep grove at the base, forming a natural channel around which to tie a ribbon to attach the hook to your wheel. For the hook, I used 99.9% Copper wire, coated with lacquer to prevent patination. My standard hooks run approximately 3" from end of hook to the top of the wood, but I can make it longer or shorter hook to meet your needs. Length of the wooden handle is about three and one-half inches, total length about six and one-half inches.
